We caught up with Hans Morano, at Supported Living Services, to find out how they are getting on with electronic care planning, and why they decided to choose Nourish.

Supported Living Services has been using Nourish for a few years now, since 2017. We spoke to Hans from Supported Living Services to find out how they’ve got on with Nourish, and to see how it’s changed their approach to care.

How do you think the system has helped you enhance quality care?

It helps us provide a consistent service across the organisation. With the interactions feature, each process or task can be completed systematically and every member of the care team can see what actions have been taken.

How easy have you found Nourish to use?

Nourish is one of the most user friendly systems I’ve seen. Staff can easily navigate through the menus and know where to find the information they need at the click of a button.

What do your care team think of the Nourish system?

They think it is fantastic. It’s like the Facebook of care management. They love how they can spend less time writing notes and more face to face time with residents.

Have you had any outside feedback on Nourish?

Professionals and inspectors have found it a very efficient tool and have been very happy with our quality of service when using Nourish.

How long did it take for you to notice that Nourish was making a difference?

We noticed almost instantly. It took us time to get to know the system, but once we’d got our heads around it, it was very easy and we saw an improvement straight away.

How much more time do you think Nourish has saved you and your staff?

We have used a different care management system before but when we switched to Nourish we noticed a much bigger improvement, cutting out around 30% of the time care teams would have spent writing their notes. It quite easily saves staff around 20 minutes per shift.

What has the ongoing support been like since going live with Nourish?

It’s the best customer service I’ve experienced so far. I’ve been able to speak to staff whenever I need to on their live chat system and they’re always pleasant, helpful and efficient.

What do you like most about using Nourish?

The user interface is simple and easy to use, the custom interactions allow us to record everything on the go, and the customer service is always great.

Is there a task or process that you feel has greatly improved since using Nourish and what feature has helped to improve it?

Searching for specific records. With Nourish, the search function allows us to check for the most up to date information, such as changes to a person’s medication or when their last appointments were within in seconds.
