Carers have now crested two million care notes and records using the Nourish care management system, on smartphones and other devices, help replace paper and reduce administration costs across UK care settings.
If you piled up all of those care notes, they would make a stack of paper taller than 47 African elephants stood one on top of another!
Nourish is announcing this historic figure as an increasing number of care homes and home care providers are opting to record, plan and report their care delivery via Nourish’s digital care management system. This increase in volume of care records stands testament to the growing detail in care recording, which carers are able to make on the go with Nourish. The Nourish application also helps carers communicate to one another, making staff on different shifts aware of events and alerts, through a complete log of actions, activities
Nuno Almeida, Founder and CEO of Nourish Care, remarks:
“We’ve always championed the hard work and dedication of carers in the UK. To take the total number of records to over two million in the space of a few months is testament to the dedication and effort put in by carers every day. Behind this figure is a system that doesn’t just store care data, but helps carers analyse and action it. Compiling that volume of information would be a monumental task when considering paper based notes; however, the Nourish system is incredibly efficient and allows care staff of all levels access to the data they need to empower the provision of gold standard person-centred cared.”
With care teams able to quickly use Nourish to capture care notes and report on them every day through smart devices – the volume and relevancy of information increases substantially. This means that care staff are able to easily assess the requirements of each individual in their care and helps to focus their time on providing more one-to-one care.
Senior carers and care managers are able to instantly assess the care being provided because of the automatic audit trail created when carers record notes through the Nourish system. When you combine this with a customisable set of reports available to care managers at the touch of a button, you get a real sense of how the system can help care providers.
Ian Bradford, Proprietor of Greenview Residential Care Home comments:
“Nourish’s ability to be used anywhere, whenever, wherever… at any time as a monitoring tool, an invaluable resource for the enlightened care sector “
Jackie Jeffery, Manager of Shedfield Lodge Care Residential Home gives her opinion:
“Because of Nourish, care staff are able to spend more time caring instead of filling in paperwork, it’s made our lives so much easier.
I feel that I now know more about the residents than ever before, like at meal times, I now know what food options each person has had and how much they’ve eaten. level of insight I’ve gained from the increased detail in the daily records is great, I literally feel like I know everything to such an extent that it helps me to sleep better at night”.
